Pre-Conference Day
Half-Day Workshops (4 Hours + Break)
Embedded Toolchains Workshop
Embedded systems software, encompassing applications ranging from bare-metal microcontrollers to embedded Linux, has specific requirements distinct from traditional user-space software. The purpose of the workshop is to discuss the embedded-specific requirements and approaches for addressing these in LLVM. The focus will be on sharing knowledge of downstream solutions and discussing requirements and design of upstream features.
LLVM ❤️ ML
The workshop aims to bring together LLVM contributors and researchers that work on applying Artificial Intelligence or Machine Learning techniques to LLVM. Topics include: integration of agent-based workflows with or through LLVM, compiler optimizations, latency estimation, IR comprehension, code generation, or data set curation (to name a few). The goal is to discuss ongoing projects and explore ways to better collaborate and plot pathways for integration to LLVM.
LLVM/Offload
Presentations and discussions with the audience about the status of the LLVM/Offload project, offload tools and binary formats. We discuss CUDA, HIP, OpenMP, OpenACC, OpenCL and SYCL plans/requirements/use-cases, as well as features and API design, the interaction of Offload with tools and driver artifacts.
Runtime Libraries Workshop
A complete toolchain involves not just the compiler, linker and binary tools, but also the runtime libraries that provide the language and runtime support. The purpose of this workshop is to discuss the various runtime libraries that LLVM provides, focusing on LLVM-libc and libc++. The focus will be on bringing the current and future users of these libraries together with the implementers and maintainers of these libraries.
Full-Day Workshops
Memory Safety Workshop
Memory safety has changed from a luxury to a necessity, with frontier AI models automating the creation of exploits that make heavy use of memory-safety vulnerabilities. In this workshop, we'll bring together practitioners, developers, and enthusiasts interested in supporting memory safety in the context of Clang and LLVM. This includes techniques that improve the memory safety and security of C and C++ programs (like language extensions, static analysis, dynamic mitigations and best practices), representing and optimizing memory-safety constructs for languages that use LLVM as a backend, and interoperation across languages. The workshop will be a mix of talks and hands-on activities (like roundtables), with the goal of fostering community, sharing knowledge, and kickstarting collaboration.
Mojo: Internals Deep Dive and Roadmap
A full-day workshop at the 2026 US LLVM Developers Meeting aimed at compiler engineers who already know LLVM and MLIR. The goal is to give that audience a map of how Mojo works. We will provide an inside view of the compiler, type system, and GPU backend from the people who built them. We will also discuss Mojo's role in the LLVM ecosystem and community.

Newcomer & Community.o Session & Reception
5:00pm – 6:30pm
We will host a combined Newcomer Orientation and Community.o Event. Community.o’s mission is to build community, and welcoming newcomers is a core part of that mission. This session provides:
- An overview of how the LLVM Developers’ Meeting works
- Tips for getting the most out of your time
- Guidance for first-time attendees
- Different ways to get involved and help build the LLVM community will also be presented
Newcomers are highly encouraged to attend and meet friendly faces before the main event.
Following the Newcomer & Community.o Session, a reception will take place, providing an opportunity to connect ahead of the Developers’ Meeting. Drinks and light appetizers will be provided.
