Francesco holds a PhD in Mathematics. His research focused on detecting the topology of the Universe from cosmological data. Francesco now works as a software engineer at Apple, working on LLVM-based toolchain solutions. Prior to that, he was part of the team at Arm that brought up the Scalable Vector Extension. He discovered his passion for compilers while working on SIMD optimisation at Samsung Poland.
