Dr. Etienne Renault is a computer scientist focusing on performance and language transformation. He spent 12 years in academia, first as an assistant professor then as deputy director of the Research Laboratory of EPITA (LRE). In 2023, he joined SiPearl, whose aim is to create a European microprocessor dedicated to HPC, as head of the compilation and benchmark teams.
