Ludger is a fifth-year PhD candidate at TU Munich interested in enabling new ways of combining simulations with machine learning techniques through his work on Enzyme, a compiler-based automatic differentiation tool, and adjacent work on machine learning. He has co-organized the Differentiable Programming workshop at NeurIPS 2021, co-organized the "Differentiable & Machine Learning Infused Simulations in Fluid Dynamics" session at the APS March Meeting 2022, and co-organized the "Quantification of Uncertainties in Computational Fluid Dynamics" at SIAM UQ22.
