Owen has been contributing to LLVM since 2006, doing the initial implementation of some of the core optimizations such as GVN, DSE, and LCSSA. From there, his interests gradually drifted towards the backend, including ARMv7 NEON support, MCDisassembler, a stint as the SelectionDAG maintainer, bringup of the Apple AArch64 backend, and various proprietary backends. After taking a break from frequent LLVM contributions, he is now the lead maintainer of the CHERIoT toolchain at SCI Semi.
