Name
A Modular Reasoning Model for Lifetime Safety
Session Type
Technical Talk
Abstract
This talk presents modular annotations and a safety reasoning model for C++ that brings a high level of rigor to lifetime safety, with strong guarantees for code that fits within it. Such a model has many applications — from guiding LLMs toward generating lifetime-safe code to hardening C++ codebases against lifetime errors. It is also essential for safe interoperability with memory-safe languages.
