Michael Kruse has studied Computer Sciences in Paderborn and received his PhD at the Université Paris-Sud XI. This was followed by a Post-Doc at the Ecole Normale Supérieur and at Argonne National Laboratory, and is now working at AMD. He is also an active member of the OpenMP language committee. His domains of research and expertise include Lattice QCD, high performance computing, parallel computing, loop optimizations in general and polyhedral model optimization specifically. He is a long-time contributor to LLVM, its subproject Clang and Flang, and the maintainer of Polly.
