Kevin Sala is a postdoctoral researcher in the Center for Applied Scientific Computing (CASC) at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL). His research focuses on advancing compiler and runtime support to accelerate code execution on GPUs, particularly in the HPC context. He has been involved in the LLVM/OpenMP offload runtime since 2022 and the OpenMP language standard since 2024. He is passionate about parallel programming models, parallel architectures, and high-performance computing. Kevin received his Ph.D. in Computer Architecture from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) in Barcelona, Spain in 2024.
