Tim Lu is a computer science student at the University of Waterloo with a strong interest in artificial intelligence and compiler technologies. While new to the field of compilers, Tim is particularly intrigued by how LLVM enables the compilation of diverse programming languages into machine code that runs across different hardware platforms.

His journey with the LLVM compiler framework began during an internship at Microsoft, where he contributed to an innovative debugging approach for Triton programs. Specifically, he integrated LLVM sanitizers into the open-source Triton compiler to help identify and resolve programmer errors more effectively.
