This talk provides a comprehensive overview of the remaining challenges for achieving a production-ready development experience with LLVM on Windows on Arm. Despite significant progress, the presentation highlights critical gaps across the toolchain. Key problem areas include LLDB, which struggles with debugging hybrid Arm64EC/x64 applications and has bugs in lldb-dap that impact editors like Visual Studio Code. Furthermore, the talk addresses shortcomings in Fortran support, which is functional but lacks the refinement seen on other platforms, as well as broader toolchain issues in linking, sanitizers, and test coverage. Finally, the presentation identifies a lack of robust infrastructure for quality assurance and proposes strategies to improve CI coverage and validation for the platform.
