Anna is a Staff Software Engineer at Azul, working from Toronto, Canada. Anna joined Azul in 2016 as part of the Falcon JIT compiler team where she has worked on IR middle-end optimizations and Java specific optimizations both in LLVM and on the VM side. Prior to joining Azul, Anna worked in the IBM C++ Compiler team on mid level optimizations for Power and Z systems. Anna’s first experience with LLVM was as a graduate student at UBC, where she used LLVM to develop software techniques (static analysis and runtime profiling) for hardware fault tolerance.
