For the last decade, Mike has worked as a software engineer and architect, designing and implementing big data systems. At the same time, he has experimented in the areas of programming languages, compilers, and hardware architecture. In June 2019, he left the software world to focus on HLS and SoCs. An early adopter of MLIR, he has contributed to core MLIR and CIRCT, and now works at SiFive building compilers and tools.
