Vince Del Vecchio is a deputy director for DSP Core Technology at MediaTek and leads a team building compilers for wireless modem processors. He currently manages the LLVM development efforts for multiple architectures, including the new LLVM nanoMIPS port. His work on compilers for embedded processors and DSPs goes back 20 years, including LLVM for the last 5 years, and has focused on machine-level optimization with special interests in scheduling, register allocation, and the interaction between compiler and processor development.
