Fabian Schuiki was born on January 19, 1990 in Zürich, Switzerland. He received his BSc and MSc degrees in "Electrical Engineering and Information Technology" from ETH Zürich in 2014 and 2016, respectively. He joined the Digital Circuits and Systems group at the Integrated Systems Laboratory of ETH Zürich in 2016 and received his PhD from ETH Zurich in 2021 under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Luca Benini. Fabian's research interests include the design of very large scale integrated circuits, energy-efficient high-performance computer architectures, the von Neumann bottleneck, transprecision computing, as well as near- and in-memory processing. After his PhD, Fabian joined SiFive to work on novel compiler techniques to rethink the way we do silicon hardware design.
